One of the two main annual fashion shows in the French capital, the Prêt-à-porter collections on show from the 26th of February to the 6th of March this year showcase the Autumn/Winter collections of the top designers in the world. It's the final early-year show after New York, Milan and London.

Of even greater importance, however, are the celebrities that turn up at these events. The designers and organisers are delighted to ensure that these celebrity VIPs get their faces front and centre as much as possible.

At the Lanvin and Chanel shows, 86-year-old Oscar nominee (beaten at the post by an actress 62 years her junior) Emmanuelle Riva and Princess Caroline of Monaco had the hot seats, while American actresses Chloë Moretz and Emma

    And in the evening…

The party for CR Fashion Book (the magazine by Carine Roitfeld) at the Shangri-La was the one to be seen at, by all accounts. Kate Moss and Kanye West were amongst the refellers. Kenzo was spotted on the dance floor with Jessica Alba at the Balajo. Meanwhile, Tilda Swinton and Adrien Brody were seen sharing an aperitif at the Cafe de Flore.

Zero Dark Thirty heroine Jessica Chastain is a fanatic follower of fashion and turned up at the front row of show after show: Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Saint Laurent, Givency, Viktor & Rolf, Moncler… she doesn’t seem to have missed any of the big ones, unmissable in her flaming red locks and lending one to forget that it was Jennifer Lawrence who won the Oscar.
