Brittany Ferries reports 5% increase in early bookings for 2015

Following a successful 2014 sailing season, Brittany Ferries is delighted to announce a 5% increase in the number of early bookings for 2015. The company, which began its new season sailings on Saturday, 21st March, has weekly sailings from Cork to Roscoff every Saturday until 31st October.

Welcoming the boost in numbers, Hugh Bruton, General Manager, Brittany Ferries Ireland, said: “We are delighted to report an increase in bookings for the second year in succession, with ferry and holiday bookings up 5% on the same period last year. With overall numbers travelling on the route up in 2014, the season ended strongly with the operator carrying 4,500 passengers and 1,100 cars on the last two sailings of the season. The majority of these passengers were French and continental, demonstrating the growing trend towards French tourists visiting Ireland and also the contribution that Brittany Ferries is making to Irish tourism, even off-season. The numbers have been rising steadily over the last three years, with the numbers of French visitors travelling to Ireland with Brittany Ferries in 2014 up 7% on 2013.
