Cannes 2014 – Day 4

Ryan Reynolds looked a little glum during the photo calls. He’s starring in Canadian director Atom Egoyan’s film “The Captive” – one of four Canadian movies in competition this year, but the critics were unkind to this thriller of kidnapping and paedophile rings that doesn’t look like it will bring a second palme d’or to its director.

At least it was Saturday and Reynolds had the option of going drowning his sorrows at one of the many non-stop parties during the first weekend of Cannes. The Belvedere Vodka and Chivas parties were two of the highlight ones, packed to rafters with the drunk and famous at Le Club Albane in Cannes and down the road at Cap d’Antibes (see photos in slide shows below).
