- 16 Apr 2013, Paris, France — These are general views of the Hospital Necker – Enfants Malades – the Necker Hospital for Sick Children. According to local reports it is one of the first places to benefit from David Beckham’s salary give-away in Paris. The Brit, amid great fanfare, announced in his first press conference as a Paris St Germain player that he would be giving away all his salary – vaguely to a children’s charity in the city. Now, after some controversy over whether this was a tactic to avoid France’s vicious tax laws, it seems the mystery of the recipient has allegedly been solved. The Le Parisien newspaper has said the hospital along with a second unnamed charity would share a sum totalling above 500,000 euros. The hospital, in the city’s fifteenth district, is said to be among the first children’s hospitals in the world.
