Paris Tourist Office issuing “Paris City Passport Shopping” for December
Starting from the end of November, Paris will be donning its festive gear for a busy traditional shopping month in the run-up to Christmas. The Paris Tourist Office (l’Office du Tourisme et des Congrès de Paris) is facilitating shoppers this year by offering the Paris City Passport Shopping to visitors.
Anyone coming to the City of Light will have their shopping bills lightened by picking up one of these reduction packs at any tourist office in Paris starting from the end of this month. It entitles people to 10% reductions in over 270 shops in the French capital and is valid for three consecutive days. It is available throughout the year normally, but only for purchases surpassing €80. For the Christmas season, however, no minimum purchase is necessary for the reductions to kick in.
Some of the shops covered in the scheme include Addidas, Alain Figaret, Bodum, Folli Follie, Franck & Fils, Gap, Gas Bijoux, Ice Watch, La Bagagerie, La Vallée Village, Lalique, Lancaster, Maison Lejaby Couture, Maty, Nina Ricci, Tommy Hilfiger, L’Occitane, Make Up For Ever, Marionnaud, la Boutique de la Comédie Française, Le Nôtre and le Petit Bofinger.
The shopping passport notion is running since 2006 and is a highly successful initiative of the Paris tourist authority, the Mairie of Paris, the Greater Paris Chamber of Commerce and Atout France. For further details, click here.
