The cold winter nights are closing in and your thoughts may be turning southwards to the campsites in France and the summer of 2015
If so, then you’re not alone. It’s a common phenomenon and for anyone in a position to plan for their 2015 summer holiday to France already, then there isn’t a better time in terms of the deals out there at the moment.
The other point to consider is that these offers will not last. France as a holiday destination for campsites has come strongly back in vogue in recent years and with the upswing in the economy, bookings have been described by everyone in the industry as “very strong”, with one major campsite holiday specialist – Hello France – already reporting having completed a third of their business for 2015.
For campsite holidays, the peak time is the end of June and this period gets booked up quickly, so the advice is to act early if you want to make the dream a reality. From now on, prices can only go up.
Kelair Campotel are amongst those companies still offering discounts to those who book now for next summer, with discounts of 10% for June bookings and 5% for early July bookings. For further details, see www.campotel.com.
Siblu are offering similar offers on their many campsites throughout France and if you book during November or December, you also get free bike hire for the entire family. For further details, see www.siblu.ie.
If you’re booking direct with the ferry companies, there are offers available between now and the New Year to bear in mind. Brittany Ferries require just a 25% deposit to secure your place while with Irish Ferries, a sacrifice of €100 will mean that your preferred sailing and cabin are booked.
As an added incentive, Irish Ferries will offer anyone who sails with them in July and August a free trip to the UK, while Stena Line – the only ferry company that sail from Ireland to France all year round – are offering a similar package but extending it to include all of June as well.
