Early Easter on the Slopes

With this year’s Easter break coming earlier than normal, there’s been a flurry of activity online, with people booking to catch some downhill fun and fresh air.

In Méribel, they’re having a week-long “Spring Party” in advance of Easter from the 13th to the 20th of March. There will be more than 45 events at the huge resort in the heart of the Trois Vallées ski area. Events include more than 45 concerts and snow/music events to create a non-stop party buzz in Alps as temperatures become more tee-shirt-like.

For anyone interested, go online at www.meribel.net and reserve a Spring Party Kit for €15. This entitles you to VIP treatment and discounts at all the events, as well as a full guide to what’s going on and where.

In La Plagne, meanwhile, the Subli’Cimes series of events rolls out between April 3rd to the 15th, with 6 animated mountain tops, where there will be free entertainment for skiers taking a break from skiing.

easter skiThe people at Crystal Ski are laying down some tempting offers to get people into the Spring vibe. What a lot of Irish skiers don’t often realise is that virtually all resorts are practically snow-guaranteed these days (if you don’t know what a place is like where it hasn’t snowed in weeks, check this article out) and if you head to the hills when the Spring sunshine comes out to play, you’ll get longer, lighter days of skiing.

You can ski in loose, comfy layers while soaking up sunshine, then cap the day with Easter eggs on the mountain. It’s also a great time to ski with family as childcare and kids clubs usually have special activities going on.

Here are some of the superb offers on at the moment from Crystal Ski. For bookings and further details, get clicking here.
