Staycity Opens new Facility in France

Founded in Ireland by brothers Tom & Ger Walsh in 2004, Staycity’s simple concept is blossoming across Europe

Driven by a desire to have a travel experience that was more in touch with the real atmosphere on the ground, the Staycity aparthotel chain has seemingly hit a rich vein in the travel business.

With quality serviced apartments already in Dublin, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Liverpool, Manchester, York and Venice, this new opening in Marne-la-Vallée (just a five-minute drive from Disneyland Paris) marks an important new step in Staycity’s progress.

It’s not the first aparthotel the company has opened on French soil (they already have properties in Lyon, Marseille and central Paris), but this one is their first ‘resort-style’ property. This means that as well as standard studio and one-bedroom apartments, the 284-room property also offers spacious and private four and five-bedroom villas that can accommodate up to 20 people, as well as an outdoor heated swimming pool, complete with gardens, sun terrace, loungers and wonderful views.

Added to this list are a gym, restaurant and 24-hour café bar, free on-site parking and free shuttle bus to and from Disneyland Paris. It makes it an ideal family base for anyone visiting the famous theme park. As with the other aparthotel properties, it’s well equipped for the business market too, with ample working space, complimentary high-speed WiFi and meeting rooms for hire. There’s also golf nearby and Paris itself is very accessible either by car (35 minutes) or by RER train (the nearest station is a ten-minute drive away).
